Do You Qualify for a California Reverse Mortgage?

Most California homeowners who have owned their property for five or more years already meet every requirement. The main factors are your age, how much equity you hold, and that the home is where you live, not your credit score.

The financial assessment does not require perfect credit. The lender checks that you have enough residual income to keep up with property taxes and insurance. If you have a manageable existing mortgage, a HECM can pay it off at closing and free up even more monthly cash.
